The first company in Hampshire and neighbouring counties to offer this opportunity to our communities, EF Cars is proud of this initiative and we are determined to build sustainability into every area of our business. Therefore:
- Our cars run on BioDiesel – a ‘carbon neutral’ energy source;
- We use the latest energy-efficient Hybrid vehicles
- We are installing a rainwater collection system to provide the water with which to wash our cars;
- Our website is hosted using a ‘Green’ Internet Service Provider;
- As many of our office supplies and consumables as possible are recycled;
- And we keep a watchful eye on developments for any further ways in which we can walk the walk that we talk.

Why we run on BioDiesel
As we all know, normal automotive fuels – whether petrol or diesel – are mineral-based, being made from crude oil, and therefore emit trapped carbon dioxide when burnt, thereby raising the level of CO2 in the atmosphere.
We source BioDiesel from recycled waste vegetable oil. When it is used, BioDiesel releases the same CO2 as the plant consumed when it grew. This makes BioDiesel a ‘carbon neutral’ energy source. This amazing fuel, however………
- Can be used in any normal diesel engine, without alteration;
- Delivers the same energy performance as ‘normal’ diesel;
- Is better for the car’s engine, which does not get clogged with mineral deposits.
